Build healthier landscapes from the ground up with Holy Cow! Landscape Mix. This premium, organic soil blend is specially formulated to provide the ideal foundation for trees, shrubs, flowers, and new landscape beds. Made from nutrient-rich loamy topsoil, leaf compost, mushroom compost, pine fines, and sand for improved drainage, it creates a balanced growing environment that encourages strong root development and vigorous plant growth. Beneficial microbes throughout the mix help plants absorb nutrients more efficiently while improving overall soil health and water retention. Perfect for new landscape installations, bed preparation, and soil improvement projects. No biosolids or synthetic additives.
Sifted Topsoil
Our Sifted/Screened Topsoil is a refined version of our native soil that has been processed to remove clumps, roots, rocks, and other debris. This results in a smoother, more uniform texture that is much easier to spread, grade, and work with. Unlike un-screened topsoil, this material is ideal for finish work where appearance and consistency matter.
Applications:
• Lawn preparation and seeding
• Final grading and leveling
• Garden beds and planting areas
• Sod installation
Specifications:
• Material: Screened natural topsoil
• Texture: Fine, loose, and uniform
Benefits:
• Provides a smooth, clean finish
• Easier to rake, level, and spread
• Promotes better seed-to-soil contact for improved germination
• Ideal for visible areas and planting surfaces
Regular (Fill) Topsoil
Our bulk topsoil is a natural, locally sourced soil commonly used for general landscaping and fill applications. In Maury County and surrounding areas, native topsoil tends to contain clay, giving it a heavier composition that works well for building up and stabilizing ground. This material is not screened and may contain clumps, roots, rocks, or sticks, making it best suited for base work rather than finish grading.
Applications:
• Filling low areas and building up grade
• Base layer for new lawns or landscape projects
• General site work and rough grading
• Underlayment before adding screened soil or amendments
Specifications:
• Material: Native topsoil (unscreened)
• Texture: Clay-based with natural variation
Benefits:
• Cost-effective solution for large fill areas
• Provides a stable base for additional layers
• Readily available and easy to spread for rough grading
Mushroom Compost
Our Mushroom Compost is a nutrient-rich organic material that enhances soil health and supports strong plant growth. Made from composted agricultural byproducts, this dark, rich material is ideal for improving soil structure and boosting fertility in gardens and landscape beds.
Applications:
• Garden beds and vegetable gardens
• Soil conditioning and enrichment
• Mixing into existing soil for improved performance
• Top dressing for planting areas
Specifications:
• Material: Composted organic matter
• Texture: Fine, rich, and crumbly
Benefits:
• Adds nutrients and organic matter to soil
• Improves moisture retention and soil structure
• Supports healthy root development
• Ideal for a wide range of planting applications
Soil Conditioner
Soil Conditioner (also known as Pine Fines) is a finely shredded, natural wood product made from pine bark. Pine fines blend easily into soil and help create a well-balanced growing environment.
Applications:
• Soil amendment for gardens and planting beds
• Ground cover for natural landscapes
• Around shrubs, trees, and perennials
• Improving soil structure in clay-heavy areas
Specifications:
• Material: Finely ground pine bark
